Cowes Week is the oldest continuously sailed regatta in the world. Established in 1826, Cowes Week, also popularly known as the Royal Yacht Squadron International Regatta, is a week-long event that takes place every year in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, UK. It consists of an annual sailing race for yachts and a series of events including a boat show and a number of social functions which take place ashore. The race is organized by the Royal Yacht Squadron and is held to coincide with Cowes Sailing Week which runs from Wednesday to Monday.
