Starting in Athens, this is non-stop 600 nm offshore race in the beautiful Aegean waters, where the dolphins accompany the boats and the sunsets are magnificent. A race designed by sailors for sailors!

LSS is working with our friends at Race Your Dreams to make this possible - You will be in their very capable hands and on their gorgeous boat Jua Kali, a Grand Soleil 43.

Good to know
Accommodation ashore
You will accommodation onboard from 03 July - 13 July to cover for the training days and the race itself. If desire to come earlier or stay later, you will have to book accommodation ashore.Boat chores - please muck in!
In case there are boat chores required ahead of the race, you might be asked for a little support by your skipper. It would be great if you could help out if necessary.Fly into Athens airport - ATH
Travel to Athens airport is straightforward and from there you will have to make your own way to Olympic Marine in Sounio, Athens where Jua Kali will be moored.

The AEGEAN 600 is the latest addition to the 600-mile-club, with the first race held in 2021. This spectacular race, organised by Hellenic Offshore Racing Club & Olympic Marine, starts at Cape Sounion under the watchful gaze of the ancient Temple of Poseidon before racing through the scenic waters between the 23 islands of the Aegean archipelago. Now in its 4th edition, the scene is set for record breaking turn out to top the 56 monohulls from 18 nations in 2023.

Previous experience required:
This race is not for the faint-hearted. It’s a once in a lifetime challenge and should be respected accordingly. Your experience is not as important as your attitude.
Ideally, you will have past yacht racing experience but it isn’t absolutely necessary, also a certain level of strength and fitness is required as this race is both physically and mentally challenging.
Experience of spinnakers/gennakers is handy.
